Supply Chain Purchasing Analyst

Accountability Objective:


  • Maintenance of demand forecast for assigned categories/brands to ensure the right mix of inventory of achieved based on the product/sku type.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Customer Service Teams to respond to demand generation inquiries and provides exceptional customer service in doing so.
  • Manages order timeline and expectations (from PO Creation until Warehouse Delivery) to ensure expectations are met for domestic brand procurement.
  • Daily inventory transactions for domestic purchasing in ERP system.
  • Participates in inventory planning meetings with a cross-functional group to include Product Management, Marketing, Sales and Operations.
  • Helps reconcile inventory and/or invoice discrepancies with warehouse, payables team and procurement sources as needed.
  • Coordinates the creation of and delivery of reports on a weekly/monthly basis to assigned user group.
  • Works with our Shenzhen team on current and future inventory purchases to ensure consistency in inventory flow.
  • Manages inbound logistics as needed to support the business requirements.
  • Continuously strive to improve processes while reducing waste.
  • Other duties as assigned to help support Supply Chain department.

 

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in buyer/planner role preferably on the international import side.
  • Familiar with procurement of varying volume and seasonality of demand.
  • Professional communication skills as this position will also have some elements of customer facing responsibilities.
  • Ability to work well within a small team to support a fast paced/evolving supply chain environment.
  • Comfortable with ERP software and gathering data from multiple sources (software platforms and email/files) to make decisions.
  • Excellent written organizational and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible with a mix of transactional and project analytical/research-based work
  • Detail Oriented with a high degree of organization
  • Able to work independently and must possess excellent prioritization and multitasking skills
  • Structured Problem-solving skills required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel 
  • Possess a process improvement mindset and desire to drive positive change within scope of control.
